Pharmaceutical Vision Verification

Challenge: A pharmaceutical customer was misidentifying completed batches of filled medicine ampoules leading to potential errors in deliveries to customers.

Solution: ACA built a manual system to visually inspect ampoules. A spring loaded/ toggle clamp holds the ampoules in place by the bottom tab in a vertical orientation. A rotary actuator with servo drive will rotate the part to present both sides of the vial to the camera for two separate inspections.

This system improved the quality and consistency of filled medicine ampoules.
